What I’ve been trying to achieve for 3 years happened in 6 days! I grew from 6,000 followers to 100,000 followers in 6 days! 😭

I have been creating content since 2019 because I feel that I can reach more people if I will use social media. Facebook is my main platform because I believe it is where I can reach more people.

I did a loooot of things in 3 years. There were days, weeks, and months that I did not want to create content because I lacked the motivation or I was very frustrated with my slow growth.

Looking back, I am grateful that I had the patience and grit to pursue despite the frustrations. Here are the things I have learned in my 3 years of content creation journey, sharing this here because this might also be helpful to you:

1. Know your core and strengthen it: Who are you? What are the values you hold on to? What problem do you want to solve? What makes you fully alive?
– Social media is a very chaotic world. You can receive many opinions from a lot of people. If you don’t know your core, you will lose yourself in the process.

Content creation requires a lot of self-awareness. Sometimes you will deal with the ugly truth about yourself. But also, you will learn to be more kind to yourself as you learn many things about yourself.

2. Keep on learning!
I started this journey with nothing but passion and a good camera presence. I take shaky videos, I don’t know how to edit videos, and I talk a looot – my videos were 10 minutes long because I talk a lot. Don’t be surprised that this is a long post. LOL

I am certain that creating content is what I am called to do but I am also certain that I don’t know a loooot of things.

So I decided to take a mastercourse on content creation at Nas Academy. The course made me crave to learn more.

Social media is always evolving so I need to keep on learning.

3. Don’t be scared to try new things, EXPERIMENT.
This is how you can discover what works and what does not.

My 100,000 followers milestone happened because I posted a reel about how I travelled to Boracay on a budget. I did it while editing my long-form content. The content that I did not put so much effort into went viral! 🤯

Becoming a travel vlogger was not part of my plan but it paved the way for me to reach more people and it gave me clarity on building my brand.

Had I stopped every time I got frustrated with my slow growth or poor video views, I would not reach this milestone.

I am proud of myself because I did not stop even those many moments that I wanted to. But to be honest, I had periodssss of hiatus over the years.

If you are still reading this (I told you, I talk a lot 😆) I just want to remind you that whatever you are going through right now, KEEP GOING.

You can take a break to breathe but please don’t stop.
